About
Words in product, with care.
I’m a senior content designer at Microsoft, focused on Microsoft OneDrive. I publish thoughtful words in product with a focus on clarity, inclusiveness, and measurable outcomes.
My background
My journey to content design began with technology consulting. Between 2006 and 2016, I wrote 200+ blog posts about SharePoint and enterprise technology. I joined Microsoft as a content developer in 2016, initially writing articles about SharePoint apps before taking responsibility for the words in the product itself.
I’m the co-author of two books published by Microsoft Press: SharePoint 2013 Inside Out and SharePoint Foundation 2010 Inside Out.
What drives my work
I believe in the power of words. Whether it’s designing UI text that guides millions of users, contributing to open-source projects like Mastodon, or exploring the capabilities of design systems like Microsoft Fluent, I’m passionate about making technology more accessible and understandable.
I hold a Certificate in User Experience Design from the Nielsen Norman Group and continue to write about content design, product design, and the intersection of technology and communication.
